A tribute to the pioneering spirit of those who began writing our story. A line that has witnessed our life as a family surrounded by vineyards. An act of co-creation that reflects the firm’s style and our winemaker’s interpretation. These are wines that express the essence of our passion. A tense, fresh and highly concentrated wine. Native to winery-owned vineyards at the Uco Valley, this Malbec respects its terroir’s spirit and identity.
1.- Plaza de Grillos, ICONO, Malbec, Valle de Uco, from Mendoza, Argentina.
Limited Edition, Single Lot, 1000 bottles produced. The tradition of great wines from Mendoza continues with the creation of "Plaza de Grillos". We use the superb grapes of our vineyards which we manually harvest, to create an elegant style of wines, fermenting and aging in French Oak barrels. The singing of crickets inspires the work in our cellars at the foot of the Andes, where viticulture and nature works in harmony. Aging 18 months in French oak barrels.
1.- Rutini, Colleccion Malbec, from Mendoza, Argentina.
A gorgeous Malbec from vineyards across Altamira, Gualtallary and La Consulta. A full bodied, yet refined wine with plenty of red cherry and red currant fruit, a touch of plum, a little hint of vanilla from oak ageing and fine, round tannins. A classic Argentinian Malbec.
Very intense red with violet tinges. Red fruits (cherry, currant) and a touch of plum are alive in the nose in this very accomplished red. French oak imparts toasted notes, while the American barrel extends its classic vanilla. Full bodied palate yet refined, thanks to its concentrated fruit character buttressed by a tannic structure characteristic of Cahors reds. Serving temperature: 14º-17ºC Aging potential: 10 years.
1.- Zucardi Malamado, Fortified Malbec Port Style, from Mendoza, Argentina.
This Malamado Malbec is sweet and silky, with delicate and intense aromas of quince, ripe figs, raisins and plums. It is a wonderful partner for chocolate, cheese, nuts raising and figs. Familia Zucardi created the First Fortified wine made in Argentina.
