The Argentine pasta edge

Argentina is home to the second-largest Italian diaspora in the world; pasta isn’t just food here, it’s culture. That heritage, paired with Pampas-grown durum wheat and strict export-grade standards, gives Argentine fresh pasta three unique selling points:

  1. Italian know-how, Latin flair – Generations of nonnas perfecting recipes brought from Liguria and Naples keep flavour authentic and comforting.

  2. Top-grade raw materials – The Pampas’ fertile loam yields semolina rich in protein and carotenoids, delivering naturally vibrant, al dente gnocchi.

  3. World-class food safety – Plants like Villa D’Agri’s combine European pasteurisation technology with FSSC 22000 audits for total traceability.

Three 10-minute recipe ideas

Dish What to do Time
Ñoquis al Tuco Rápido Sauté 1 minced garlic clove in olive oil, add 200 g passata & a pinch of chilli; simmer 5 min. Boil ñoquis 1 min, mix, top with grated Parmigiano & fresh basil. 8 min
Brown-Butter Sage Ñoquis Melt 40 g butter until nutty; drop in 6 fresh sage leaves. Toss drained ñoquis, finish with cracked black pepper & shaved Parmesan. 7 min
Pesto & Cherry Tomato Bowl Warm 3 Tbsp pesto with a splash of pasta water, fold through gnocchi, add halved cherry tomatoes & a handful of baby rocket. 6 min

Chef tip: Cook ñoquis in salted, gently boiling water; as soon as they rise, scoop and sauce over-cooking makes them heavy.
