Premium Black Angus Australian Bavette (Vacío)
A true favourite of the Argentine asado, Bavette, also known as Vacío, is a beautifully flavourful cut of beef prized for its rich, beefy taste and distinctive loose-grain texture. Known for its long muscle fibres and satisfying bite, this versatile cut develops a deliciously caramelised crust when cooked over high heat, while remaining wonderfully juicy and tender when prepared correctly. Perfect for cooking whole as an impressive centrepiece or slicing into individual steaks.
Our Bavette comes from award-winning Australian grain-fed beef from verified Black Angus cattle, selected for exceptional eating quality. A carefully developed grain-fed programme helps create the marbling, tenderness and full-bodied beef flavour that make this such a rewarding cut to eat. Every piece is fully traceable from farm to plate, giving you confidence in the quality and provenance of the beef you are putting on your table.
Whether you're preparing a traditional Argentine asado, enjoying a comforting family dinner or cooking something special for friends, Bavette is a fantastic choice for sharing. Its generous size and versatility make it ideal for cooking whole and carving into thin slices, or portioning into steaks for individual servings.

Cooking Suggestions
Bavette is a wonderfully versatile cut that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Cook it whole on the BBQ, roast it in the oven or slice it into individual steaks for pan-frying or grilling, depending on the occasion.
For the best results, Bavette is particularly delicious cooked medium-rare. Allow the meat to rest before serving and always slice thinly against the grain, as its long muscle fibres can make it chewy if sliced incorrectly.
For a classic Argentine-style experience, serve with chimichurri, grilled vegetables and provoleta. Or, during the colder months, pair it with creamy mashed potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables and a rich peppercorn sauce.

If the cut you purchased is fresh, then yes—you can freeze it. Our thermal boxes are designed to keep products cool during delivery, maintaining a chilled temperature for up to 48 hours in transit.
Please note that our boxes are not designed to keep frozen products fully frozen during transit. Frozen items will begin to thaw once dispatched from our warehouse, even when packed in thermal boxes with ice packs.
If your product is frozen and arrives thawed out, we do not recommend refreezing it. Instead, cook it as soon as possible. After cooking, you can freeze your dish and store it in the freezer for later use.
While some of our meat products have a long shelf life, we don’t recommend storing them in a domestic fridge for that full period. Frequent opening causes temperature fluctuations that can affect freshness.
Our warehouse uses commercial refrigeration to keep meat at the optimum temperature. Once delivered, if you plan to use it within three days, it’s fine to keep in your fridge.
If you won’t cook it within three days, we recommend freezing it to lock in freshness and flavour. When ready to use, thaw the meat in the fridge for 24 hours to keep it cool and safe.
At Casa Argentina, we’re passionate about delivering the highest quality Argentine products with care and exceptional service.
If there’s ever an issue, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We’re committed to making it right—quickly and hassle-free.
Every order is more than just a delivery; it’s a connection to the heart and soul of Argentina. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we stand by the quality of our products and service.
